What I offer
Physics
Physics is brought to life using everyday examples, simple practical activities that can be carried out at home, and real-world predictions using Maths and Physics. This approach helps students understand why concepts matter, not just how to answer exam questions.
Chemistry
Chemistry is taught through real-world context and hands-on learning, linking theory to practical activities and scientific analysis. Students are encouraged to build curiosity, confidence, and a genuine appreciation for how Chemistry explains the world around them.
Biology
Discover the fascinating biological principles underpinning life through clear explanations, practical examples, and strong links between topics to improve long-term understanding and exam performance.
Maths
Mathematical concepts are developed from a clear starting point in small, manageable steps. Students learn how to apply Maths to real-world situations and recognise patterns that deepen understanding and confidence.

Tutoring locations
Face-to-face
I tutor students face-to-face and in their homes with parent supervision within a 5km radius of the HA0 postcode. Travel costs may be included depending on distance.
Online
I tutor online using standard software such as WhatsApp, Zoom, FaceTime, or similar platforms. Lessons include real-time collaboration using digital whiteboards and screen sharing. Homework is marked using PDF editing tools and returned with clear feedback discussed during sessions.
Learning centres
I tutor face-to-face in learning centres such as High Street Academies to groups of between 10 - 20 students. These classes include screenshot summaries of the whiteboards and learning materials communicated in a group chat to allow parents to be informed of what is being learnt.
Cover teaching
I work as a cover teacher filling in for teachers who must leave their school posts at short notice for a number of days or weeks. I specialise in embedding myself into the school systems and teach the school materials if available including practicals. I also supply alternative materials if necessary. I provide context, motivation and long-term understanding of the subjects..
Reviews and testimonials
Mate Janosvki
We were extremely satisfied with Kim and cannot recommend him highly enough. He supported our son with GCSE Combined Science, and the improvement we saw was massive. Kim’s explanations were clear, structured, and tailored to our son’s learning style, which really helped build both understanding and confidence. He was always well prepared and focused strongly on exam preparation, which made a real difference. Our son felt supported and motivated throughout the process, and his progress exceeded our expectations. An excellent tutor who delivers real results.

Kim has been an excellent tutor for our daughter, and we’re so pleased with the progress she has made. He explains topics clearly and patiently, breaking things down in a way that really makes sense. Lessons are well structured and focused on building confidence as well as understanding, which has made a huge difference to her attitude towards science. Kim is always well prepared and supportive, and our daughter feels much more confident going into exams. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, effective tutor who genuinely cares about his students’ progress.
