I was born and educated in Zimbabwe and later continued my studies in Cape Town, South Africa. I have worked and lived in several countries — including Zimbabwe, the UK, Switzerland, France, Germany, and China — as a Chartered Chemical Engineer.

Throughout my life, I have been motivated by a desire to understand the world through science. My engineering career allowed me to apply mathematical and scientific principles to real-world projects, giving me a deep appreciation for how these subjects shape the world around us.

Following the Covid pandemic, I decided to pursue my long-standing passion for education. I returned to the UK and completed my PFCE with QTS at St Mary’s University, Twickenham. I now teach part-time in schools and tutor students in Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

My lessons follow the school curriculum and are carefully structured to improve exam performance while also building genuine understanding. I use real-life examples from my professional experience, along with safe practical activities where appropriate, to help students see not only how to answer exam questions, but why the subject truly matters.

What I offer

Physics

Physics is brought to life using everyday examples, simple practical activities that can be carried out at home, and real-world predictions using Maths and Physics. This approach helps students understand why concepts matter, not just how to answer exam questions.

Chemistry

Chemistry is taught through real-world context and hands-on learning, linking theory to practical activities and scientific analysis. Students are encouraged to build curiosity, confidence, and a genuine appreciation for how Chemistry explains the world around them.
